Function: -You will report directly to the Group Compensation & Benefits Manager; -You will serve as subject-matter expert and primary contact within the Group Compensation and Benefits team for employee benefits (including but not limited to retirement plans, death-in-service benefits, health care plans, short and long term disability arrangements); -You will act at Group level, providing quality services towards the entire organization. Benefits design: -As needed, you obtain reliable information and data related to the prevailing competitive practices in the area of employee benefits; -You develop new plans or propose modifications to existing plans in view of business needs, competitive positioning and/or regulatory requirements; -You ensure legal compliance of all plans; -You obtain senior management endorsement of proposals in accordance with governance framework. You assist and/or actively participate in consultation and negotiation with employee representatives, whenever applicable. Financial reporting of benefit obligations: You ensure that all benefit obligations are correctly reported in accordance with the applicable international accounting standards. You have joint responsibility and thus cooperation/coordination required with Group Control function, Group Auditor, local management and local actuary. Administration Belgian pension plans: You act as central coordinator of the administration of the Belgian pension plans, both internally (payroll, legal, tax, …) and externally (legal advisor, consultants, actuary, investment managers, government authorities, …). Organizational projects: You play a key expert role in different types of organizational projects (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring, downsizing, …). Benefits governance framework: You are the owner of corporate governance framework including: -Process flow describing roles and responsibilities of all internal and external parties involved in a benefits review project; -Key design principles and specific plan design guidelines. Global database of benefit plans which needs to be updated on annual basis. Profile: -You are a university graduate, preferably in economics with good knowledge of actuarial principles; -You have minimum 5 years experience in HR specialist role (e.g. benefits service provider or benefits consulting), but finance or audit experience may also be useful; minimum requirement is to have affinity with HR matters; -You have very strong numerical and analytical skills; -You have a good understanding of international accounting standards; -You have sense for analysis and conceptual thinking; -You are flexible; able to deal with changing priorities without loosing focus; -You have the maturity to deal with confidential and private data; -You have project management skills; are able to influence without having authority over team members; -You have very good organizational knowledge; ability to interact with different levels of the organization; -You have a multicultural sensitivity.
