• Our client sells EFTS to German and Austrian institutional asset managers. The successful applicant’s performance will be heavily weighted towards achieving explicit ETF AUM targets. Therefore, an existing German and Austrian institutional client base would be a big advantage for this position.
•Coordinate ETF sales strategies with equity derivatives structured products teams, Alternatives teams and the parent company cash equity sales teams.
•Work with our client’s parent comany listed products marketing team to align sales and marketing strategies
•Support coverage of German and Austrian based ETF market-makers
•Assist in management of junior ETF sales resources, including sales assistants and interns
•Job is based in Frankfurt and will require frequent travel throughout Germany and Austria as well as London and Paris.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Strong academic record
.Three-to-five years of direct sales experience to sophisticated financial institutions in Germany is ideal. Fund-of-funds, pension fund, hedge fund, equity derivatives (especially delta one) sales backgrounds are preferred.
•ETF and Equity Derivatives experience would be an advantage.
.A proven track of gathering assets and/or generating revenues from sophisticated financial clients is required.
•Fluent German and English is mandatory
•Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Bloomberg is very helpful.
•Familiarity/some experience with ETFs, mutual funds, OEICs, SICAVs, equity program trading, multi-asset class solutions.
•Proven analytical, computer and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional writing, communication, presentation skills are required and sales skills
•This position will involve working in a fast paced and demanding environment. It requires an individual who has a strong interest and the understanding of portfolio management theory and Equity Derivatives.
•Completion of, or work towards, professional designations, such as the CFA and the CAIA Charters, would be very relevant for this position.
