Position Summary
Key Tasks within the areas of responsibility include:
- Strategically source and execute local initiatives and support regional/global initiatives
- Ensure alignment with regional/global category strategies
- Interface all key functional stakeholders to ensure agreement and adoption of category strategies, ongoing review of activities undertaken, and maintenance of strong client services
- Assume leadership for local supplier relationship management
- Develop innovative solutions with suppliers and clients to reduce cost and increase quality
- Ensure support of the local roll out of Firmwide procurement systems
- Assure compliance with Firmwide procurement process standards
- Assure data maintenance and compliance in systems.
Competencies/Skills
- Fluent in English and Japanese
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications/Experience
- Business related undergraduate degree
- 5 years of relevant procurement experience.
