Our client is a leading global financial services provider with operations spanning every continent and in all of the world's major financial centers.

This role covers all markets in Asia Pac excluding Japan and Australia. The business is both diverse and Dynamic dealing in a range of products from Delta 1 to high end exotic derivatives. The current role available is more focused on the support of the Flow Equity derivatives side of the Business.

1. Book equity derivative structures into the Risk Systems. This requires the ability to be able to understand Marketers tickets/confirms and be able to turn these descriptions of Derivatives into economic trade events in the risk system.

2. Have an excellent working knowledge of Equity Derivatives – Listed Options & Futures, Warrants, Quanto/Composite options, Variance swaps, etc… To be at the level where discussion’s can be had with the Trading desk about these products and how best to realise the risk in the Trading System.

3. Have a good knowledge of Securitised products and the workings of Euroclear.

4. Liasing with both the Front office and Marketers to help resolve all queries. These communications will be at quite a structured level and the candidate must be capable of clear explanation whilst ensuring their (and Ops) view are heard. This could be in a pressurised environment and involve senior people.

5. Liaisons with internal clients to help calculate and proof final payouts on structured trades. Again requiring the ability to understand Derivative confirms and be able to converse about their meaning

6. General day to day support of the Business.

7. Generic trade risk capture of other more ‘flow’ products like listed securities / IR hedges / FX

Skills required

• Good to advanced knowledge of Derivatives (especially in understanding what they are, and how they are made up)
• Excellent knowledge of Local Asian Markets.
• A good understanding of other products, Cash Equity, Interest Rate and Fixed income.
• Good Excel skills (Macro level advantageous)
• Willing to work hours where required
• Enthusiastic and ability to ‘free think’
• Ability to communicate at all levels (clerical and Managing Directors).
• Previous experience of front office support
• Ability to work under pressure and ability to work to tight guidelines
• Willingness to continuously learn.
• Self-Motivation.

Qualifications sought

• Degree Level – preferably in Math’s / Finance / Accounting
